Autumn hikes along the Beskid trails
The golden Polish autumn is a beautiful time for hiking along the Beskid trails. The absence of typical holiday crowds and stunning landscapes are the best reasons to plan a shorter or longer vacation in Szczyrk. There are many popular trails in its vicinity, including the blue trail to the highest peak of the Silesian Beskid – Skrzyczne (1257 meters above sea level), which offers a sweeping view of the Zywiec Basin. The red trail to Malinowska Skała from the Salmopol Pass is also beautiful in autumn. If the weather is good, from the top, you will see the entire panorama of the area with the Zywiec Beskid and the Maly Beskid. We also recommend Karkoszczonka Pass and Uncle Tom’s Hut are nearby, as well as the scenic climb to Klimczok.

During your autumn stay in Szczyrk, take a walk along the renovated path by the Żylica River. It’s a place liked by locals and tourists alike, who want to cover the route by walking, poles, or on a bicycle. And if we’re talking about bikes, we recommend one-wheeled tours in autumn. However, fans of two wheels can enjoy scenic routes of varying difficulty.
You will not complain of boredom even when the autumn weather plays a trick. On rainy days we recommend such attractions as the Tropicana water park in the Golebiewski Hotel in Wisla. There you’ll find a 25-meter swimming pool, a recreational pool with waves and water spouts, a pool with a water-air whirlpool, and a paddling pool for children. Saunas and Jacuzzis round out the resort’s offerings. Also, check out the brine graduation towers at the Central Sports Center – Olympic Preparation Center in Szczyrk. You will find the Crystal Salt Chamber, made of natural rock salt crystals. A session in the graduation tower is an excellent way to strengthen the immune system, which we encourage, especially in autumn and winter, during increasingly cold and often rainy days.
